The "Telangana Formation Day Decennial Celebrations" will be launched by CM KCR. On June 2, he will honour the Telangana Martyrs at the Hyderabad Memorial in Gun Park. CM KCR will give a speech and raise the flag at the Dr  BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat later in the day. Ministers will take part in the district celebrations.

In 2024, the southern Indian state of Telangana would mark its tenth anniversary. This anniversary was recognised ten years since the creation of the nation's youngest state, which took place on June 2, 2014. The past ten years have seen substantial political, social, and economic changes in Telangana that have influenced the state's identity and direction.

Telangana's aspiration for independence has been made repeatedly since the 1950s. Regional aspirations, cultural identity, and socioeconomic divides between Telangana area and rest of Andhra Pradesh, the state from which Telangana was split, were the driving forces behind it. Following decades of political movements and dissent, the Indian government, leadership of then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, announced the formation of Telangana as the 29th state of India.

The Telangana government has made fostering growth and correcting the socio-economic inequalities in the state one of its main priorities. To improve healthcare facilities, encourage education, and uplift marginalised areas, the government put in place a number of social programmes and programmes. The lives of people in Telangana have been greatly impacted by initiatives like "KCR Kit" (a comprehensive healthcare programme for expectant mothers and newborns), "Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak" (financial assistance for the marriage of girls from economically underprivileged families), and "Rythu Bandhu" (an investment support programme for farmers).

To strengthen the state's economy and increase connectivity, the administration also started working on infrastructure development projects. "Telangana Formation Day "All families in the state, particularly those in rural areas, were to receive safe drinking water under the state's flagship programme, "Mission Bhagiratha."

The "Mission Kakatiya" effort concentrated on tank and water body repair in order to improve irrigation systems and replenish groundwater supplies. The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project and the Hyderabad Metro Rail, among other pieces of key infrastructure, have helped change the state's terrain.

Information technology and business process outsourcing (IT-BPO) sectors have also established Telangana as a centre. The IT sector has grown significantly in Hyderabad, the nation's capital city, drawing major global corporations and opening up job opportunities for thousands of highly qualified people. An ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship has been fostered in the state as a result of the T-Hub's development as a startup incubator, fostering the expansion of the startup ecosystem.

Additionally, Telangana has made major advancements in the field of education. The state's administration has concentrated on raising educational standards and widening access to institutes of higher learning. Promoting equitable and sustainable development has been made possible by programmes like "KG to PG" free education, residential schools for marginalised areas, and the introduction of major initiatives like "Haritha Haram" (a massive tree plantation push).

Over the past ten years, Telangana's cultural history has also been honoured and safeguarded. To revive and promote Telangana's rich artistic, handicraft, and cultural traditions, the state government has taken action. The establishment the Culture Bathukamma Festival, the foundation of the Telangana State Language and Culture Department, and the encouragement of traditional music and art have all aided in the promotion and preservation of the state.
